How do I know when I should NOT send my child to school?

To avoid the spread of sickness, please DO NOT send your child to school if they have any of these symptoms:
  • A fever of 100 or above. Even if the fever goes down with acetaminophen, your child's illness is still considered contagious.

  • Nausea or Vomiting

  • Severe Headache

  • Dizziness/Faintness

  • Diarrhea

  • Excessive sneezing and coughing

  • Inflamed eyes

  • Unexplained rash

  • Please be sure to always cover open wounds with a band-aid before coming to school
Howe Public Schools appreciate your desire to have your child attend school regularly. However, there are times when the best thing you can do for your child AND the school is keep them at home until they are no longer contagious.

If you have any questions, please call. Thanks for your help with this important matter.
